LAND AUCTION – 12/14/2022

The Ellis Farm consists of 160.00 +/- acres located 5 miles northwest of Mattoon, IL and 2 miles southwest of Cooks Mills, Illinois in western Coles County.  The farm consists of a mixture of timber and tillable acreage.  The tillable portion of the farm, being 131.08 acres, is comprised primarily of Fincastle, Drummer-Milford, Drummer, Flanagan, & Toronto soils with an average productivity index (PI) of 131.2.  The timber acreage, being approximately 20 acres, offers good hunting and recreational opportunities.  The farm is in an excellent location and is being sold without improvements.

The Ellis Farm will be auctioned at a live in-person auction and sold based upon 160.0 taxable acres. The live in-person auction will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at the Mattoon American Legion, 1903 Maple Avenue, Mattoon, IL 61938. Virtual online bidding will be offered to those wishing to bid remotely.
