Justin Wheeler Receives First Mid 2021 Chairman’s Award

Justin Wheeler recipient of First Mid 2021 Chairman’s Award

First Mid Ag Services’ Justin Wheeler has been named a recipient of the 2021 Chairman’s Award.  Joe Dively, Chairman and CEO of First Mid Bank & Trust Company presented the award to Justin in the Decatur, IL office based on peer nominations he received for his outstanding work in 2021.  In addition to recognizing Justin for the high-quality work he provides clients in both farm management and real estate brokerage, he attained several personal goals during the year.  Those goals include attaining his Accredited Farm Manager (AFM) designation from the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers and his Illinois Auctioneers License.  This designation and license both include requirements of experience, education, and examinations for them to be attained.  Among other successes in 2021, Justin supervisors the First Mid Ag Services website which helps client and prospects reach information vital to their farmland ownership goals in farm management and real estate brokerage.  One other particular challenge he assisted with in 2021 was the full adaptation of online auction real estate brokerage services.  Justin has referenced the adaptation and implementation of online auctioneering capabilities at First Mid Ag Services as a “Team Effort which allows us to provide premier online auction services to our clients.”

The Chairman’s Award is presented for accomplishments during the year just completed and is awarded to about 1% of First Mid staff each year.  Joe Dively’s presentation to Justin was able to include Justin’s wife Jordan, their youngest daughter Murphy, the Decatur Ag Services and Trust staff, along with Brad Beesley, President and CEO of First Mid Wealth Management, and Brian Thompson, President of First Mid Ag Services.
